El valle encantado de China // The Enchanted Valley of China

Se lo conoce como el "Valle de los Nueve Pueblos" o simplemente como Jiuzhaigou Valley. El paisaje incluye cientos de colores, cascadas y lagunas en una gama de tonalidades increíbles. Es un sitio protegido, reconocido como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO y poco accesible. Está situado en la Provincia de Sichuan, al sur de China occidental.
El Valle de Jiuzhaigou parece pintado, pocas veces imaginado, o soñado, casi todo, menos real. Situado al norte de Sichuan, en China, es una reserva natural y valle protegido plagado de lagos celestes, verdes, turquesa, cascadas y montañas en un colorido bosque que se refleja sobre numerosos espejos de agua.
A sólo 330 kilómetros de la capital provincial, Chengdu, el parque es parte de la Prefectura Autónoma de Ngawa Tibetana y Qiang y abarca un valle de unos 240 kilómetros cuadrados de superficie, en una altitud promedio de 2.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Protegida de la tala a partir del año 1979, y adaptada al turismo, recibe miles de visitantes cada año en un aumento exponencial que alcanza unas 7.000 personas al día en promedio. Un recorrido por el valle de Jiuzhaigou incluye parajes con nombres tan atractivos como El lago de los Cisnes, La Selva, el lago Panda, el lago Espejo, el lago de los Cinco Colores, o la piscina de las Hadas.
Jiuzhaigou es famoso por sus numerosos lagos de colores que van del azul, verde y turquesa, hasta tonalidades mezcladas y acentuadas por los depósitos minerales con alta concentración de carbonato de calcio, por lo que el agua es inusualmente clara y los fondos, visibles aún en grandes profundidades.
Jiuzhaigou posee un bosque bajo un clima frío templado, con un colorido que va desde el amarillo, naranja y rojo en el otoño especialmente, la época más preciada por los visitantes.
Acceder al valle no es tarea sencilla, sobre todo por tierra, se requiere 10 horas en autobús a lo largo del cañón del río Minjiang, un camino amenazado por deslizamientos en temporada de lluvias. Para facilitar y acortar distancias, existe un helipuerto cerca del valle.
A lo largo del valle, existen nueve pueblos tibetanos de los cuales, siete permanecen poblados hasta el día de hoy. Los pueblos marcan el recorrido accesible para los turistas.
La zona, es ideal para recorrer a pie o practicando trekking, partiendo desde Rize y Shuzheng, un conocido barranco desde donde emprender las excursiones aprovechando el declive del terreno. Jiuzhaigou dejará grabado en nuestra mente imágenes que resistiremos a reconocer como reales, un valle encantado por una naturaleza prodigiosa e inimaginable.
