Tres lagos que cambian de color // Three lakes that change color

Los tres lagos en el cráter del volcán Kelimutu, situados en la isla de Flores, en Indonesia. Con ellos había iniciado la entrada 16 lagos que cuesta creer que existen , pero ésta vez, toca profundizar sobre éste paraje. Salta a la vista la razón por la que los tres lagos son uno de los atractivos turísticos principales de la isla. De hecho, la excursión para conocer los lagos al amanecer es una de las experiencias imperdibles del lugar.
Los lagos presentan diferentes colores de forma drástica, una curiosidad si consideramos que están a pocos metros de distancia y separación. Mientras que uno de los lagos es de color turquesa, otro es de color café  y el último de un azul tan oscuro que hasta parece negro. Pero a todo ésto hay que sumarle que los lagos han ido cambiando de color a lo largo de los años, a causa de la actividad geolótica del volcán Kelimutu. De hecho, las pistas del fenómeno se puede encontrar en las fumarolas y vapores que se filtran entre las grietas del volcán.
Para explicaciones más envolventes, nada mejor que conocer las leyendas y creencias tradicionales de los pobladores originarios de la zona. No es de extrañar, que un sitio con semejantes características haya llamado poderosamente la atención por miles de años, convirtiéndolo en un lugar sagrado venerado por los habitantes del lugar. La zona, por supuesto, es de una gran actividad volcánica, y solamente en la isla, hay una docena de volcanes en actividad.
